So, much like the Indy Colts/ and San Diego Chargers a few years back, Brooklyn faced a dilemma: Garrison or Caputo (not Cavuto. . .I've been watching FOX News way too much).

It's a make or break pick for Hoosier as the Tigers have developed a good run game offense but the quarterback position was stop gap at best.

1.3. QB Brent Caputo, Miss. State, 6'4" 226 lbs.

"We liked Caputo's ability to stand in the pocket and deliver the ball coupled with his speed. If the pocket breaks down, he's smart enough to recognize that and tuck and run." Lead Scount Trent "Ty" Cobb.

Added G.M. David "Hoosier" Owens: "It's the intangibles that cemented our decision. His strong personality and his high score on the Solecismic Test coupled with his combine scores were the deciding factor."

Very cool, Hoosier. I need to learn how to use my computer so I can put together some stuff with pictures... heh.

this reminds me a lot of Dustin Hayes / Donnie Lowe way back in the day when me and Jeeber had picks back to back and it was such a tough decision. He picked Hayes and I was stuck with Lowe (who I liked more)... It made every game they played against each other that much more interesting.

Hopefully your guy turns out better than Lowe did...even though his highlight run is only against Tulane

[b37a835a]Second Round, Pick #3[/b37a835a].

[b37a835a]Brooklyn selects CB Trent Carr, Western Kentucky.[/b37a835a]

Chaos reigned supreme in the heat of the Brooklyn offices when a twitch in the system had the Tigers pulling the trigger on a player they hadn't interviewed.

Red Flags were flying everywhere when the phone call was made to the CFL's Front Offices taking T Pace in the second round.

"It was embarassing to say the least that our communications brokedown. The CFL Commisioners were alterted and they were very generous in allowing us to correct a bad situation." G.M. "Hoosier" Owens.

After all the chaos had settled, Brooklyn selected the corner from W. Kentucky.

"It was a need based pick. He was the best cb left on the board and we've worked hard to put together a star defensive backfield. He should fit in well with former first round pick "White Shoes" Fuller and FS Guagliardo. He'll be moved to the right side and will be given plenty of time to develop. We will keep this unit together throughout the coming years."

Matthew "Hi" Momberg, DT, NC State

"We felt he was overrated but not so much for a third round pick. He has outstanding endurance, good numbers in run defense, pass rush technique, and is a decent, but not great, hitter. Slow to be sure, but his affinity with our defensive captain solidified the pick as we think any deficiencies will be offset by that alone."
