So... one heck of a trend with QBs. I knew there was a need for QBs in the league, but there are a few other names I really expected to come before the QBs. This could be our class of '82 though, as these guys are all really solid. |

I am looking to move up to take a particular player still on the board... I think both of these QB's have solid futures. After these two were picked, I do not think a QB will be picked until the late first or early second round. |

Dustin Hayes is the next Ryan Leaf. |

Bah, Hayes will be the next Steve McNair. He'll be given plenty of time to learn and develop before he's unleashed upon the league... |

Dola- I also [ic244b7a]really[/ic244b7a] wanted Toothpick or Sanderson. Either of those guys would have been huge for the Rockets... |

My other option here was DE Elway, but I have both my starters locked up for a few years, and a great QB will win a lot more games than a very good pass rushing DE. |

It will be interesting with Bridges, Hayes, and Lowe all in the same division. |

Indeed. Our division is going to have to stock up on corners pretty soon... |

Nice draft so far, no real surprises in my mind. I hate to admit it, but I really have no clue who I want to draft yet... I really hate the draft window in FOF2004,it's one of the worst designs in the game. Being able to see just ten or so players in one glance sucks... |

In order to speed the draft up as much as possible, I would strongly suggest that everybody uses the email alert on the rookie draft thread. That way, you know right away when someone makes a pick... |

I think Arizona got a steal with Leory Banks at 7th. This guy is going to be a top notch tackle for several years to come. I wanted to trade up and get him. |

FWIW and if anybody's interested, according to the draft value chart, that trade between Chicago and New Orleans was relatively fair, even if Chicago comes out slightly on top. 1.06 + 3.06 = 1600 + 240 = 1840 points 1.10 + 2.10 = 1300 + 480 = 1780 points |

It was indeed a steal though. I'm a bit surprised that Tatum was taken so early. While clearly a great safety, that position is usually not that hard to fill in FOF... |

I wouldn't mind either of them, but there's on I want in particularly. |

I thought about him, but in the end, the ILB is more ready to play now and will step right in and start for us. We payed quite a bit to get him, but I am comfortable with the trade. |

Hmmm.. lets see if we can get either of the top two picks to play a single down this season, shall we? |
