A quick peak at the teams that may be in trouble next season.

Team -------- 2006 Salaries

Albany ------ $103,210,000
Cleveland --- $95,440,000
Sacramento -- $91,870,000
Hartford ---- $83,480,000
Baltimore --- $81,030,000
Tuscon ------ $80,200,000
Boise ------- $80,190,000
Tampa ------- $80,050,000

Which of these teams has a shot to win it all before possibly being dismantled?

Tampa, Hartford, and Sacramento are ranked 2-4 in roster value under the Franchise Value screen.

I think we have a good chance to take a shot at it now. I actually do not think that we are in that dire of a situation. We have quite a number of players locked up through next year (I'll have to look when I am in front of the game at how many), so that is close to the cap, but with a pretty large roster.

In addition, we have a couple of big money guys that could provide solid value on the trade market if necessary. So, keep your eyes open next offseason!

I expect to be back in the playoffs next season as well, and have a most of my top players under contract beyond this season. A couple of relatively painless cuts will generate enough room to fill out my roster.

I am avoided signing many players this offseason though to prevent my cap from being out of hand next year.

I'll be honest... I am making a run for this year.. I'm trying not to totally bomb the future, but now is the time.. I cannot continue to have the calibre of players on defense that I do and stay under cap... so they'd better make one heck of a splash this year...

I'll be dissapointed if I do not at least make it to the conference championship game.. of course, all it takes is for one of my key offensive players to get hurt...

Thanks to some unpleasant original contracts, and more than a few bad ones I've signed myself, I doubt we'll be in shape to do more than 9-7. We had to let RB Chester "The Molester" Brumley go this year, as there was no way we could meet his demands without completely trashing our cap. He has been our offense the last two years - I don't know what we're going to do without him.

As for next year - I don't want to think about next year.

I love the Molester...we're making one more run with my increasingly ancient squad. Hopefully with an actual running game we can make a splash in the playoffs.

And the Pride will do everything they can to play "Spoiler" to the 'Dillos.
