[b44ec06b][u44ec06b]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b44ec06b][/u44ec06b]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the Texas Sundevils and recorded a 34-14 blowout victory! Torpedoes QB [player]Corwin Ellard[/player] was named MVP as he completed 20 of 29 passes (68.9%) for 183 yards with 2 TD's. Offensively, the Torpedoes moved the ball very well on the ground, but their passing game was limited. The Torpedoes were shutdown on 3rd down. The Torpedoes scored 34 points on 6 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes controlled the clock and set the pace of the game. Defensively, the Torpedoes limited the Sundevils passing game, but struggled against the run. The Torpedoes forced 4 turnovers, which made the difference in this game. The Torpedoes allowed 14 points on 2 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit atop the AC ATLANTIC, but the margin of error remains slim. The Torpedoes (7-4) travel to play the Brooklyn Tigers (4-7) next week and need to win this game. Can the Torpedoes find a way to win on the road or will the Tigers prevail at home?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We came out and won a solid game at home this week. Our fans really got behind the team and we broke a 2 game losing streak. We need to remain focused on the remainder of the season. Our division lead is slim and we need to keep pushing forward if we want to have a shot at making to the AC Playoffs. We will review the game film and continue to improve. We travel to play the Brooklyn Tigers next week and we can't afford to take them lightly. We need to set the tone early on defense, get our run game going, and limit mental mistakes if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
