Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the Long Beach Calibiri and lost by the final score of 29-17. Calibiri OLB [player]Xavier Bonfigli[/player] recorded 5 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and an INT. Offensively, the Torpedoes passing game opened up their run game. The Torpedoes allowed 4 sacks and turned the ball over twice. The Torpedoes struggled to convert on 3rd down. The Torpedoes were held to 7 points on 1 trip to the Red Zone. The Calibiri dominated the time of possession and set the pace of the game. Defensively, the Torpedoes limited the Calibiri passing game, but struggled against the run. The Torpedoes allowed 2 sacks. The Torpedoes held the Calibiri to 20 points on 5 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes are in last place of the AC ATLANTIC with one game remaining. The Torpedoes (7-8) travel to play the rival Durham Bulldogs (7-8) in an AC ATLANTIC showdown next week. Can the Torpedoes find a way to win on the road or will the Bulldogs prevail at home?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "This was a game we couldn't afford to lose and now our AC Playoff hopes are not looking promising. We need to become a more consistent football team. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We travel to play the rival Durham Bulldogs to finish off the Regular season. We will beat the fleas off those mangy mutts this time around. They got lucky the last time we played. Every dog has their day. We are a superior team and need to go put them in their place at the pound...We'll be ready come game time!"
