[ba7bfbd2][ua7bfbd2]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/ba7bfbd2][/ua7bfbd2]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the Denver Dynamite and slipped by with a 27-21 OT win. Torpedoes QB [player]Corwin Ellard[/player] was named MVP as he completed 30 of 39 passes (76.9%) for 336 yards with 4 TD's and 2 INT's. Offensively, the Torpedoes were very explosive as they recorded 433 total yards. The Torpedoes allowed 2 sacks and turned the ball over 3 times. The Torpedoes made key 3rd down conversions. The Torpedoes were held to 21 points on 5 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes were called for 11 penalties and need to play disciplined out there. Defensively, the Torpedoes contained the Dynamite run game, but struggled against the pass. The Torpedoes forced 2 turnovers. The Torpedoes allowed 21 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit in 3rd place of the AC ATLANTIC. The Torpedoes (1-1) host the Albany Crows (1-1) next week. Can the Torpedoes win at home or will the Crows find a way to win on the road?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We bounced back with a huge win this week at home. We fought our way back into this game at the end of the 4th Quarter and found a way to win in OT. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We need to work on protecting the ball and getting the ball into the End Zone when we get into the Red Zone. We host the Albany Crows next week so we know we'll have our work cut out for us. We need to force their QB into making mistakes, get our crowd into the game early, and play disciplined on both sides of the ball if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
