Each team is ranked in 5 key categories: Points Scored per Game, Points Allowed per Game, Yards Gained per Game, Yards Given Up per Game, and lastly Win Percentage.

Best team in the league gets 32 points, worst team gets 1 point in each of these categories. Tally them up to get the McShay ranking.

I noticed I did not handle ties in the first 4 categories correctly, and that will be addressed in the Rankings starting Week 8. Ties in win % were done right, so this should be really close.

PS I will also cut off the spell check.

Yes, I need to have numbers so it is easier to see where your team ranks. Also, next week's rankings I am going to make changes to the calculations. I can't sit here and honestly say I think yards gained is equal to points scored or win %. So, the total possible points next week will be 256 (8x32). Points Scored, Points Allowed, and Win % will count twice with Yards Gained and Yards Given Up counting once.

With this scoring system FFF, Detroit would have been tied for 4th this week.

Yes, absoultely put more weight on scoring vs yardage.

What about SOS? Opponent's win percentage should factor in somehow.

This is a simple one just Win % X SOS.

Any ranking that ends up with Tucson on top is A-OK by me. Good job McShay!
