[b5597295][u5597295]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b5597295][/u5597295]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the San Antonio Stingers and lost by the final score of 21-13. Stingers CB [player]Derek Lyle[/player] was named MVP as he recorded 4 tackles and 2 INT's. Offensively, the Torpedoes moved the ball inconsistently through the air and their run game was contained. The Torpedoes allowed 2 sacks and turned the ball over 4 times. The Torpedoes made key 3rd down conversions. The Torpedoes scored 14 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. Defensively, the Torpedoes limited the Stingers passing game, but struggled against the run. The Torpedoes made key stops on 3rd down. The Torpedoes allowed 21 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit in last place of the AC ATLANTIC. The Torpedoes (3-5) host the Baltimore Bombers (4-3) next week in an AC ATLANTIC showdown and need to find a way to win this game. Can the Torpedoes win at home or will the Bombers find a way to win on the road?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We had the momentum in the first half and allowed this game to slip away in the 2nd half. You need to play 60 minutes in the CFL. This was a disappointing loss. We need to start finding ways to pull out games and turn the corner this season or we'll be home during the AC Playoffs. We will make the necessary adjustments and put ourselves into position to win some games. We host the Baltimore Bombers next week and need to find a way to win this game if we want to gain some ground in the division. We need to set the tone early on defense, force them into making mistakes, and protect the ball if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
