Atlantic City agrees. Thanks for the trade, Raven Hawk.

I think I'm getting value for my players here... I'm surprised at how quickly I'm getting these deals done, though.

Maybe because you're just agreeing too quickly.

I haven't even looked at your trade block yet, and it seems all your players are already gone.

I might have offered more...

oh well, too late now...

Well, the early bird gets the worm. ;-) Maybe I could have gotten a bit more but I thought they were all fair deals.

If I got swindled, please let me know. I'm always looking to learn something new.

By the way, I still have players available on my block. And if you really want to deal, everyone on my roster is available. I just posted the highlights in my block.

I also wouldn't mind moving up in the draft in any round. I'm going to have lots of picks.

"Swindled" is probably too strong a word, but I think you probably could have gotten more for them; I would have expected a first rounder for each of these players.

Good deal for RH and the Pride, though.

OK, upon further review, and especially after looking at your other 2 trades, I have to be more blunt.

You [ib8e2319]have [/ib8e2319]been swindled.

You've traded away 5 stud players for basically one late first rounder, a second and some change.

You'll be lucky to get a couple of starters out of the picks you got.

Wonder what the rest of the gang thinks of these 3 trades ? guys?

I agree, RH probably "won" this deal, but I would have expected something closer to a 1 + 3. I think this is probably a better deal than the one with San Antonio. I wouldn't part with a 1 for Matthews. This league is not as WR deprived as it was a few years ago.

fwiw , I made an offer for Petragassi as well.

I think Atlantic City accepted the offers too quickly (including the deal I made) and has undervalued his players (to be fair, I think you may be overvaluing some of them [i3808f7b]by a little[/i3808f7b] too).

I agree, I think a little patience in negotiating probably would have payed off well. I most likely would have upped the offer, especially if it included Lester instead of Matthews. I had an offer in, but didn't have time to re-bid before he accepted San Antonio's offer.

Just to be clear, I asked you if you would up your offer and said that I needed a quick reply. I saw that you read the message.

I could have waited longer but then I risked the other deal falling through. I'm not sure what I could have done better here to get you the deal short of reading your mind?

Ok, guess that I have. Live and learn. ;-)

As I said, I still have players in my block if you want to swindle me... Although now that I've been educated maybe I won't be as easy to deal with. ;-)

The market is what the market is. It seems we have this discussion every year. As long as everyone got what they felt was fair value then so be it. If you feel someone got swindled or wished you could have gotten a similar deal, then maybe you should have made contact sooner.

[insert wade vs. turftoe debate link here]

I have updated my notes to read that thenewchuckd doesn't waste time in making deals.

It's not any more complicated than that.

I see that there was a miscommunication. I didn't get from your pm that you needed a quick response. It's better to have loved under different conditions than to never have loved at all. ;)

I'm not so disappointed that I didn't get Lester. I moreso disappointed that my division rival did.

Partly the reason I moved quickly. The target was Hopkins for the most part, but Lester has some value, although limited due to the fact he may only play 1 or maybe 2 years.

I too may have given up a little more, but I wouldn't have given up much more for Lester. Assuming he drafts well with those picks, Atlantic City will do just fine with the young players as opposed to a 10 year declining WR and G that may or may not be around when the rebuilding process is complete.

Ok, it is my fault, then. I meant to say this but did not. Sorry.

That was kind of my thought process, although to be fair the G is still (kind of) young. I just wasn't convinced I could squeeze a 1st rounder for him, though.

I personally thought these WRs and WLB were not worth very much given their age. I would not have paid much for them. However, this is only my second league so I do not have the experience that you guys do.

Will you still feel the same if all these oldies lose 10 points a piece at training camp? These guys are a risk no matter how you slice it.

I think you nailed this one on the head. Both GMs had the same though in terms of value which is why the deal was able to be made rather quickly.
