We got murdered... but stayed injury free.

gg TLK

I don't think you got murdered. Outside of the 2nd quarter it was a boring game.

I lost a starter for 6 weeks but otherwise came away healthy. I meant to start Becker so I don't know how Morris snuck in there. The best stat line for us was that P Tim Beard (7th round pick) matched up well against Mr. Second Coming, Jack Johnstone. He was a handful of yards behind in average but was a yard ahead on net and at his heals in longest punt and inside the 20 numbers. If Beard can pace Johnstone like that all season I'll be able to call Beard a steal. ;)

RB Richie Ragland got totally slammed by the 'volatility stick' in TC, but at least rushed for 120 yards (albeit in a preseason game). Our rookie WR also was 4-4 on catches.

We get clobbered by the Outlaws (oh the shame of it! ... )
Good thing it's only preseason.

No meaningful injuries, only a sprained knee to an undrafted rookie which will probably cost him any chance he had of making the roster.

It was the backups that did most of the damage. No new injuries and Hilson still remains an intriguing backup option at QB.

GG Santa Cruz, you guys played a solid game, especially for the first Preseason game.

QB Kaeding has a pulled hamstring with the "unknown" listed for the weeks on the length of injury. Even though he was given minimal playing time. If we are lucky, he will probably be done only for the pre-season.

On a good note, Julio Zappa filled in for Kaeding and had great stats going 20 or 24 passing with a 104 rating.

DT Josh Jarvis, one of our off-season aquisitions earned the game MVP honors with 3 sacks. We had 6 sacks total, so our young D Line might be a force this year.

I still do not get overly excited about pre-season stats. :D
