My condolensces to Portland. I think Benson is a clincher for biggest bust ever. :(

I hope you're not planning on signing him.

Looks like having the last 3 rounds be cpu picks was stupid on my part...

Who woulda thought that my third round pick would project to be better then my 1st round pick. Are left tackles important? :D

I just saw his skill range. Yikes.

Well, I guess I'll have a lot of cap room available for my other guys. :D

Tucson's draft review:

1(17) - CB Ray Minahan. I like this pick, and he didn't lose much in terms of perceived abilities after the draft. He'll at least be a nickel back this year, and depending on how he does in camp he may well win a starting job.

2(17) - RB Tito Sanders. Tito probably won't top out quite like we expected him to, but he's far from a bust (at this point). He will probably be the backup RB this year, and may contribute more later on.

3(17) - WR Leo Parker. I love this pick. Our expectations for him are largely unchanged since the draft, which means he'll probably be battling for the 3rd WR spot during camp. Next year he'll hopefully be starting.

4(17) - QB Daniel Downs. I don't love this pick. Our scouts thought he had a chance to become the real deal, but our immediate post draft assessments suggest he'll probably end up a career backup. That's a bummer, but really all we were looking for was someone to backup Milan, so in that sense it isn't a completely wasted pick.

5(17) - RT Matthew Pitman. Jackpot! Our scouts rated him as a decent career backup going into the draft (20/43), but he looks like he has a great deal more talent than we thought (37/71). I have, of course, offered to name the stadium after him.

6(17) - LG Xavier Mendola. Another OL to give us better depth. Should be a decent backup.

7(17) - WLB Bob Crane. "Colonel Hogan" was drafted to provide depth at LB, but our initial evaluations suggest he may eventually evolve into something more. We'll have to wait and see with him.

I'm very happy with every pick except Downs - four picks that will probably start down the road for us, and three that will make decent backups. While Downs was a disappointment I think Pitman more than makes up for him. Overall I'd give this draft an A.
