([i2e5100e]Boston Herald[/i2e5100e]) - New General Manager flere-imsaho was introduced this afternoon at the Panthers' second press conference of the day. After introducing GM imsaho, VP of Owner Affairs I.M. Hareid quickly left the room.

GM imsaho, who has no previous CFL GM experience, handled most questions with a refreshing candor, and also some naivete. It remains unclear what to expect under the "new" regime, but with this major upheaval another boring 8-8 season hopefully isn't in the cards.

When asked about his hopes for the season, the new GM was noticeably cagey: "we feel there's a team with a lot of potential here, and hope to realize it to the highest."

Another question focused on the rumor that the Panthers do not have enough cap space to sign their top draft choice, safety Claude McCullough. imsaho responded "We're looking into that. Clearly it would be a problem, but McCullough is a great prospect and we intend to make him a part of the team."

Panthers' fans have great expectations this year of doing something other than finishing 8-8.
