I've been making offers to all of my rookies in the past two stages, but none have signed and the transaction log isn't showing them refusing my offers. Any ideas why this is so?

It's good to see you back, Grid Iron!

Have you made any other offers to any free agents? I didn't see any listed. Perhaps GE never got your exports. If this is the case, he REALLY needs to do something about it as this is becoming a huge problem and it's unacceptable that it's been going on for this long...

150% agreed... None of mine have been missed fortunately, but it is a problem that is beginning to plague the league unnecessarily with the response of "tough shit"...

The problem will be solved when the upload script is finished, with that one in place GE won't need a gmail account for the league...

Glad to be back, guys. Froggies, you mentioned a gmail account. Was that a joke or did does GE have one for the league? Maybe I'm not sending my exports to the right place. I'm still using the hotmail account.

The Yahoo account is the one I have said send it to if you have problems with the hotmail account. As far I am concerned, the steps have been taken to prevent the measure. So, I do not appreciate the comments saying nothing has been done to correct this.

It wasn't me who mentionned the gmail account. I believe it was 3ric ?

AFAIC, the hotmail account is the right one for GE and has always worked for me.

ps: since you're back, does that mean you're finally gonna pick up your Iowa Barnstormers dynasty ? :wink: I miss it... :cry:

GE, my intent is not to criticize you. My intent is to get this issue resolved. Since several people have not had their exports go through (at least Doug and Grid Iron this week) then obviously the issue is not resolved yet.

My suggestion would be to have very clear rules in a sticky thread at the top. Don't accept exports on your hotmail account any more. Make everyone use your yahoo account. Make this very clear by posting a sticky message that has your email address in the subject so it appears right in the forum. Right now it is not clear and we have to search through various threads to find your yahoo email address. If this is done then I would agree that steps have been taken to prevent the measure. But while owners are still losing their exports then there is still work to do.

Again, I'm not trying to be overly critical but I'm trying to be helpful. Some quick updates on the sticky threads at the top of the forum would go a long way to keeping everyone happy (updated schedule, etc.).

The Barnstormers is on indefinite hiatus. :( Too much work and too little time. Glad you liked it, though! If I get time to do a dynasty, I'm going to pick it up again. But it's unlikely it will happen anytime soon, if ever. Maybe when I retire in 25 years. . . :wink:

Just my opinion . . .

I'm really happy that an upload functionality is being worked on but it's not here yet. We need another solution.

I think two things would help immensely. One, unless we're extremely confident with the Yahoo account's reliability then start using the gmail account that wademoore created for the league. The big thing about this is that the ONLY thing going to the account will be exports. If nothing else, that will help sorting. Also, gmail can flag emails sent so that it will be easy for Tim to notice exports at a glance. Second, when exports are sent, a confirmation email would be helpful. Then everybody know that their export has been received.

Once the upload utility is done, then all this will be solved and it'll get much easier.
