Tennessee football fans were in for a treat yesterday as 680 the Fan hosted a radio show at The Liberty, a sports bar across the street from the Liberty Bowl, as a former West Tennessee football star, QB Blain Hoffman, interviewed two current stars RB Marvin Barton and WR Morris Hamby.

BH: Both of you are the all-time franchise leaders at your respective positions. Both of you left for a period of time in your careers (Hamby 2022-2023, Barton 2024). What brought each of you back?

MB: When I was doing my visits in the off-season, first and foremost I was impressed with Coach Hoch. He explained his plan for the team to me and what my place is in that plan. Then before I left he insisted that I met with the owner Mr. Walker. That was what really convinced me. When I walked into his office he showed me that he was going to open up the check book and that he was going to do what it takes for this team to win.

MH: For me it was part of that but when I came I ran through a short workout with Emmanuel Cole and I thought, this is one of the best young quarterbacks in the league and I would regret not taking this opportunity.

HB: This team has had a hard time filling the stands for the last few years. What would you say to those fans to try and get them out to the stadium?

MH: This team made a few strides last year and is ready to take a lot more this year. You want to jump on the bandwagon early.

MB: I would say to the fans that I was here during the rough years. I ran here during a lot of losing seasons and I went to a team and had a better season and won more games then any other season in my career. I wouldn't have come back unless I thought this team was ready to turn a corner. And come see the new uniforms.

HB: Right let's unveil the new uniforms for the Tennessee Militia to the fans.
