It's time for everyone to trim down their rosters to 53 players and submit their opening day depth charts and gameplans. Don't forget to put your starters back in if you have been keeping them out during preseason. Here are a few interesting tidbits after the preseason: [list7ac9563] [*7ac9563]The only two teams to go 4-0 in the preseason were New York and Oregon. [*7ac9563]The only team to go 0-4 in the preseason was Long Beach. [*7ac9563]Oregon scored 121 points in the preseason which averages to 30 per game! [*7ac9563]Huntington Beach and Arizona led the way on defense only allowing 43 points in the preseason (less than 11 per game). [*7ac9563]Albany starting QB Rocky McFarland will miss the season opener against Detroit due to a hyperextended elbow. [*7ac9563]Arizona's 1st round draft pick (T Leroy Banks) is also out with a hyperextended elbow. [*7ac9563]There are 4 first round draft picks that are still unsigned: Detroit - G Mark Blair Memphis - G Hunter Mills Las Vegas - CB Terry Grayvil Oregon - DE Lance "Bust" Benson [*7ac9563]Cleveland's 1st round draft pick (RB Toothpick Lang) finally ended his holdout and agreed to a 5 year contract. In the final preseason game against Boise he had 1 rush for 7 yards as well as 1 reception for 18 yards (21 YAC). [*7ac9563]Pre-season sack comparison: Fargo's Quinn Elway (1) vs. Durham's Motormouth Vazquez (1.5) [/list7ac9563] |

Yeah! Let's get this thing started!!! [quoteb99a802="Taco"] Albany starting QB Rocky McFarland will miss the season opener against Detroit due to a hyperextended elbow.[/quoteb99a802] Oh, isn't that a shame??? [quoteb99a802]There are 4 first round draft picks that are still unsigned: Detroit - G Mark Blair[/quoteb99a802] When he rejected my first 3 or 4 offers, I stopped offering him a contract. It basically allowed me to carry 61 players throughout the preseason. I will try and sign him again now. [quoteb99a802]Pre-season sack comparison: Fargo's Quinn Elway (1) vs. Durham's Motormouth Vazquez (1.5) [/quoteb99a802] Hmmm, not very impressive in either case really... |

Damn, but those final roster cuts are deliciously difficult. Its so hard to determine which players will less-shittily fill out the bottom of the roster. |
