In Week 7 the Deep South Division performed as well as it could have as the division's teams went 2-0 in games outside of the division.

New Orleans Raging Horde 20- San Antonio Stingers 14

<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... OT_Evr.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... OT_Evr.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The first possessions in this game for each team ended in interceptions. Regrettably for the Stingers it would be a sign of things to come. The Stingers opened up scoring with an eight yard pass from [player]Brent Roberson[/player] to [player]Brant Kelly[/player]. All of the scoring occurred in the first three quarters. As the game came to a close it seemed that both teams were intent on either giving the game away or trusting their defense to secure the win. The Horde's fourth quarter possessions ended as punt, punt, punt, and a missed field goal. The Stinger performed slightly worse in the same quarter with their possessions ending with punt, punt, interception, and another interception. Expect both teams to play a better game, especially the Stingers, in Week 17.

Shreveport Pride 27-Chicago Soldiers 6

<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... OT_Qnu.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... OT_Qnu.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The rebuilding project in Chicago looks to still have a ways to go as Shreveport took advantage of long scoring plays: a forty yard pass from [player]Carl Bradford[/player] to [player]Jerald Trammell[/player], a thirty-six yard pass from [player]Carl Bradford[/player] to [player]K.C. Whitfield[/player] and an eighteen yard run by [player]K.C. Whitfield[/player] along with two [player]Jerald Bailey[/player] field goals to launch themselves to the top of the division. The Pride look to carry the momentum from their fourth straight win into Detroit for a tough game against the Vampires, one that is sure to have playoff implications.

Tennessee Militia 34- Albany Crows 14

<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... OT_oCv.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... OT_oCv.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

[player]Emmanuel Cole[/player] continued his pace for what would be his best year ever statistically. Oddly this win which was all but wrapped up with a fifty eight yard pass from [player]Emmanuel Cole[/player] to [player]Vincent Harris[/player] with 5:22 left to go in the third leaves the team the same place it was at the end of Week 7 last year, 3-4. The meat of the Militia schedule comes up over the next three weeks as the Militia go to Cleveland and then host two consecutive division games against San Antonio and New Orleans.
