This franchise has a great storied tradition in the CFL.

They are the 2nd highest in wins and part of the top 4 elite teams in Tucson, Hartford, and Denver that accounts for the only teams with over 250 wins and 14 championships amongst them.

Detroit has 2 of them and been to the playoffs 20 different seasons.

Before this last upcoming season they had 9 straight double digit winning seasons.

This last season they hit the wall and missed the playoffs for the for the first time in 11 years.

The team has 30 players signed to the roster:

The core players are
DE Ike Reed
CB Hugh Hammond

The younger players to work with are slim witha few weaker drafts the last few years.

RB Stan Writer looks like he can run the rock and is good all around. It will be interesting to see what he does in a little weaker offense then what his skillset shows

ILB Stan Ford is a great all around linebacker. He stuffs the run and can rush the passer. He ended the season just short of 100 tackles with 99 last year

NT Will Emerson is a good all around defender that really underperformed but looks to have the tools to be a good one

I can count up 10 total players on this team i would want right now. THis will be an interesting test as i feel a little more pressure to get this team back into place because the franchise expects more.

I will list links to drafts and tidbits from this starting point here.

OK
some hardcore stats
50 rating for stadium which is top 10 amazingly
56 roster rating which shocks me and is 24th ranked
95 in team support is tops in the league
29 is one of the worst economies (24th i think)

We have the 10th pick in the 2029 CFL Draft

Our initial thoughts
We need these spots badly
QB FB TE WR WR G T P OLB OLB S

That is not counting the fact that we really want a new RB
both Ts are really old
We may need another DT if we move to a 4-3
and if not we need another ILB for the 3-4
lastly our cornerbacks are a strong 2 deep so we need another cover guy.

You've got some good pieces in place. I look forward to seeing what you do with that proud franchise. Good luck!

I apprecaite teh kind words but i think this team is worse then what paper shows.

We have no QB, true RB, or WR. It will be fun to play with this for sure.
