Selected: 1.32
College: Indiana

Truth be told, we would have been happy with Copeland, Tuell or Herndon at this spot. Our projections had us landing one of these centers in a draft that was rich at this position. Our scouts indicated Copeland had the most hidden talent so we were glad to land him to close out the 1st. He'll be an anchor for this line for the next decade. He's strong and will equally capable of opening running lanes as he is at protecting the QB.

His personality is a 96 and his leadership is a 85 which bodes well down the road for cohesion. This big guy will fit well with our fans in Texas.

[size=18f8ed3c7][uf8ed3c7][bf8ed3c7]Corey Rayburn[/bf8ed3c7][/uf8ed3c7][/sizef8ed3c7]
Selected: 3.32
College: Ohio

According to his combine results, Corey Rayburn should be renamed Joe Average. However, there was something about him that we liked. We couldn't put a finger on it and neither could our scouts. Coming out of mini-camps, Corey may be better fit for an outside LB role. Our coaches seem to think he may be better suited there, but the team has the need for him to play the middle. Either way, he should be a nice addition to the LB corp and make last year's stellar defense a little better.

[size=18f8ed3c7][uf8ed3c7][bf8ed3c7]Jim Truglio[/bf8ed3c7][/uf8ed3c7][/sizef8ed3c7]
Selected: 4:32
College: Vanderbilt

Truglio is probably the pick that the coaches are the most excited about seeing through training camp. He has a slightly smaller frame but demonstrated great power on film and in the combine workouts. He also has a motor that allows him to punish defenses late into the 4th quarter. He doesn't possess the breakawy speed but is tough for defensive players to get handle on when tackling. In mini-camp he appears more polished that originally thought and demonstrated above average skills in the passing game.

[size=18f8ed3c7][uf8ed3c7][bf8ed3c7]Leonard Grier[/bf8ed3c7][/uf8ed3c7][/sizef8ed3c7]
Selected: 6.32
College: Indiana

Rumor has it that there was a draft day snafu and the wrong name mistakenly appeared on the card as it went up to the commissioner. Actually, Grier was AI selection. His combines aren't great, but he has a few intangibles. He's not likely to make the roster.

[size=18f8ed3c7][uf8ed3c7][bf8ed3c7]William Clausen[/bf8ed3c7][/uf8ed3c7][/sizef8ed3c7]
Selected: 7.32
College: Ohio State

Clausen wasn't drafted for his strength. He'll need to hit the weight room, but he's got the speed to rush from the edge. He may make some appearances on nickel and dime situations with one thing on his mind. Hit the quarterback!

Ain't nothin' wrong with being an oops pick. In fact, I'd wager that most of us are only on this planet because our parents made an "oops" mistake. :)

Hold your head high, Leonard!
