Cleveland Times-Today the new owner of the Cleveland CFL franchise announced a dramatic shift for the franchise. The team will now be known as the Ohio Sentries.

"We feel that it is important, especially in a state with so much football history, for the team to identify itself as Ohio's team. The nickname "Sentries" is a small tribute to our military as well as our firefighters and policemen. A small tribute to all of those who spend their lives protecting and defending the freedom of others."

When asked when the new uniforms would be made public, "The first appearance of the new uniforms will be shown off by our draftees from the upcoming draft."
