New Coordinator Brings Questions
Today the Ohio Sentries hired Ryan Blunt as Offensive Coordinator. The change brings to light the upheaval that the team is going through on offense.
Last year all time franchise quarterback Marco Bennett was traded to Omaha in an effort to rebuild. The Sentries then missed the playoffs for the first time in seven years as Carl Daniels led the team to a 4-8 record through 12 starts.
At that point in the season Head Coach Phillip Tubbs started the Korey Bernard experiment. During that time the team went 2-2 and Bernard showed some success finishing the season with a 75 QB rating while Daniels finished with a 64.
During his press conference Blunt made it clear that he wanted to develop the Sentries into the quarterback mecca of the league. That leaves him with five options at this point.
