With the season winding down, Texas finally got their man. The team announced today that they have hired Tarc as their new GM.
Texas, who is poised to make the playoffs, were planning on waiting to hire a new GM after the playoff season. But yesterday the phone rang in owner Tex Eastwoods office. Mr. Eastwood was surprised to hear the voice of Tarc. Mr. Eastwood listened to what the former GM of the Fargo granchise had to say. And was completely impressed by the conversation, "Tarc reached out and expressed interest in our opening. He had an incredible knowledge of the organization, the coaching staff and the players. Shoot, he even knew my wife's middle name. No one knows that. He explained what he could offer the franchise, where he wanted to take it and how he would get us there. I offered him the job on the spot."
Texas is in the middle of a battle for a playoff spot and need some leadership. This hiring may be just what the organization needs for the playoff push.
