Well we're two games in and already things are looking a little bit shaky for the Copperheads of Death Valley. Though the passing game has been improved form last year, we have still yet to have a receiver step up and make a large impact during game time. Injuries in the already shallow receiving core certainly have not helped either. Junior Wolfe continues to carry the team on his back staying in the top three for league rushers. He also is Death Valley's leading receiver; a dubious honor that speaks more to the inefficiency of the passing game. Look for more of Wolfe as he looks to finally surpass Godfrey in yardage after coming in a distant second last year.
On a lighter note here is my team as described in 90's Will Smith Fresh Prince rap form.
Long Beach Cali is where we used to play.
But the Desert is where we have most of our games.
Rushing the football we are looking real fine,
with a couple short passes past the scrimmage line.
Well a season ago we were lookin' real good.
And then we made the playoffs like I thought we would.
Then we lost one playoff game and Jander got scared,
Now we have to do a bunch of quick roster repairs.
Sorry I'm unemployed and I've been watching a lot of Fresh Prince episodes.
