This is the premier of the weekly picks. Each week (time permitting) Jimmy will make his picks for all the CFL games. Detailed picks will be provided for the game of the week (between two highest rated teams) and one other game of interest. Rankings are from the FOF Power Ratings.

Game of the Week
#6 Tulsa (1-0) @ # 3 Atlantic City (1-0) -4

The Phantoms are playing at home but with poor fan support and many Talons fans jumping at the chance to go to Atlantic City, this could be considered a neutral field. On paper, Atlantic City has a better offense but will need to score more than 9 points to beat Tulsa. With Tulsa’s best CB Zack Henderson doubtful with an abdominal strain, this may be the week when the Phantoms offense takes off. The Talons will look to take advantage of the likely absence of DT Darren Richardson in the heart of the Atlantic City defense so the key may be the Arnold “brothers from another mother” running backs. In the end, the Phantoms defense will be too strong.

Biggest Point Spread of the Week
#31 Baltimore @ #23 Seattle -11

Baltimore exploded for 44 points in a week 1 turnover fest win over St. Louis. At QB, Ernie Blackwell got the start and veteran Robbie Brewer saw time late in the game with both 100+ in QB rating. Seattle has a better secondary than St. Louis, however, with CB Grady McCormick leading the way. Can Seattle cover an 11 point spread? It will be tough but look for the Spartans to control the ball on the ground behind an offensive line with two stud tackles in Paul McQuistan and Mercury Eisner.

Nice one! I sometimes bet on NFL-games and I must admit I haven't really paid much attention in FOF to this.

Nice to see the Bombers not only covering the spread but winning straight up!
Could have made a small fortune in Vegas
