#4 Omaha @ #2 Durham -2
This is the game of the year so far in the CFL season. Both teams are 6-1 and are legitimate contenders for the league championship. The game also features the #2 (Howard Nixon – Omaha) and #3 (Desmond Cobb – Durham) passers in the league so you know both teams can score. The question will be who can stop the other team’s offense. Durham has the statistical edge here and with Omaha LB Edwin Stoner out with a groin, we are going with the Bulldogs.
Upset of the Week
#9 Denver @ #5 Death Valley -4
Denver and their #1 rushing offense will face a stern test from the #5 rated rush defense in Death Valley. However, the key may be the Denver passing game vs the Death Valley pass defense that ranks #30 in the league. WR Wes Williams should have his best game of the year and while it won’t be huge numbers, it will be enough to take some pressure off RB Les Mahoney and the Dynamite rushing game to get the win.
