Game Report: Atlantic City 10, Fargo 7
Week 12

Biggest Play
:

RB J.R. Brustkern was openly questioned and criticized on whether he was able to close out a game for the Phantoms. This week, he proved he had that ability as his running at the end of the game kept the ball from Fargo and closed out the win. This included a crucial 3rd down with 2:01 left in the game.

Atlantic City: I formation with two tight ends, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 with dime personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
3-6-FAR41 (4Q: 02:01) J.R. Brustkern ran around the left tackle for 6 yards. Tackled by S Artie Poole. Key block delivered by Randall Alston.

Offensive Standout: QB Monty Lunch – 20/28, 186 yards, 1 TD, 101.2 Rating

Lynch was sacked 4 times by Fargo and even hurt his knee in the first quarter but remained in the game to lead the offense. Although the Phantoms didn’t put up huge numbers, Lynch was once again a steady performer.

Defensive Standout: OLB Winfred Henry – 6 tackles, .5 sack, 2 hurries, 1 knockdown

Henry shares the OLB pass rushing duties with Gino Wayne and has done an excellent job all season. Although he only has 1.5 sacks, he is a constant threat to the opposing QB with 23 hurries which is #1 in the league (the 2nd highest is 19).

Question for the Week:

QB Lynch is listed as probable for 3 weeks with knee tendinitis. Will ACI sit him for a game or two and call on Rico Firth or continue to ride the steady arm of Lynch? My guess is they stick with Lynch to the end.

BY THE NUMBERS

11:56 – Time of possession advantage for ACI
2/12 – Fargo on 3rd downs
45- Rushing yards allowed by ACI
9 – Combined punts by ACI and Fargo inside the 20
