Week 14 Picks by Jimmy the Geek Game of the Week #1 #4 Tennessee @ #1 Death Valley -4 The Copperheads are on a 4 game winning streak and are tied for the best record in the league at 11-1. Meanwhile, the Militia are 8-4 and are currently one game out of the final wild card spot so every game from here on out is a must win. The key matchup will be the Tennessee passing game (#3) vs the Death Valley pass defense (22nd). And don’t forget about Militia RB Bart Godfrey, who last week became the CFL career rushing leader with 16,049 yards. For Godfrey, we will pick the upset. This week they face another Atlantic division power in Omaha. After a 9 game winning streak was snapped in week 12, the Arrowheads got back to their winning ways last week vs Iowa City. When you look at the individual matchups, this looks like a blowout win for Omaha. The Anchors defense (#4 in points allowed) has been the key to their success. Omaha is no slouch, however, as they are #5 in points allowed. Omaha has too much offense and will get a hard fought win.
