Game Report: El Paso 6, Atlantic City 10
Week 14
Biggest Play:
With points hard to find, this game was close to the very end. Leading 10-6, ACI stopped El Paso and took over the ball with 4:39 left in the game. Could the run out the clock? In the end, they did and one of the biggest plays was a huge block by C Roosevelt Shepard on WLB Troy Beauchamp that gave the Phantoms a first down. The matchup of Shepard (75/75 and 6-5 307 pounds) vs Beauchamp (80/80 and 5-11 215 pounds) was fun to watch all day long.
2-12-ELP31 (4Q: 02:13) J.R. Brustkern ran around left end for 12 yards. Tackled by CB Jimmie Belyeu. Key block delivered by Roosevelt Shepard. Shepard flattened Troy Beauchamp to ensure the play's success.
Offensive Standout: G K.C. Norton – 2 KeyBl, 10 BlOpp
On a day when the Phantoms offense struggled, Norton was huge force in the running game.
Defensive Standout: ILB Dominic Castillo – 8 tackles (2 assists), 2 pass defenses
Castillo showed his value in run and pass defense.
Question for the Week:
Fumbles continue to be an issue (4 more this week with 2 of them lost). How far can this team go if they continue to fumble?
