CB Darren Dussault's career is over. In his first 7 seasons he was one of the best CBs in the league with 39 interceptions, an amazing 10 returned for touchdowns, and four 1st-team nominations and one 2nd-team as well. In the season opener last year he suffered a season ending injury. And now in this year's season opener he tore his ACL - the game log notes "This appears to be a career-threatening knee injury".

Well this is the first time I remember seeing a kicker win offensive player of the week. New Orleans kicker Juan Patterson kicked 9 FGs (a new single-game record).

GG Argot.

We did everything an underdog can do to try and steal one, but the better team prevailed.

All in all, I was pleased with the progress. Rookie DE Martinez looks like he's a player. Now we just need to stop blitzing our best cover LB (Not sure how I messed that up) and we might be okay.

My kickers have done it a number of times. It's a good news/bad news kind of thing. I usually run a fairly conservative offense, so it can gain yards and then get stopped. The result is a FG. So it's good that I can generate some offense and score FGs. But it's bad news that I can't finish drives by scoring TDs.

The game with SHR was indeed a good news/bad news situation. 9 for 10 in FGs is pretty amazing. But we didn't generate much offense and couldn't score a TD with 5 red zone visits. We did have great field position aided by 4 SHR turnovers. We were very lucky to win this one. GG.

GG Ushikawa,

It seems that Fargo and Denver have been involved in some bruisers over the last couple a seasons, and this was another that is going to require ice baths and heat compresses. Good luck the rest of the way!

Yup, neither team coudl get to 300 yards but you guys did just a smidge better on the ground and you had some longer type passes that I did not.

Pretty concerning performance from my passing game especially the 15 yards on 12 targets from supposed stud wideout. Our offense is pretty useless unless we can do better than 0/8 on the long passes.

Will have to play with my GP, pretty much used last year's which worked fine then.
