NT Will Nickle 40/40 - Old man Nickle has been a fan, team, and front office favorite since being acquired in trade from Shreveport. Nickle is a stout run defender and punishing hitter. He also boasts a special teams number that makes skill position players jealous. Nickle is on the bubble as our 3rd NT and I hate to cut him. He's a great NT and identifies as a 1-Tech DT for you 4-3 guys. First late round pick offered takes him. CB Leslie Robbins 26/31 - In his 3rd year, Robbins is still nothing more than a nickle back hopeful worthy of a 5th CB roster spot as a punt returner. He's got 4.4 speed and is a fan favorite. First 7th round pick takes him. DE Patrick Keith 25/38 - Another bubble boy is this rookie who boasts a 6'4" 304 frame and identifies as a 1-tech DT. He was moved to RDE in our 34 front. His 81 Pass Rush Str and 56 Punishing Hitter make him hard to cut. A late round pick offered will make my 6th d-lineman decision easier. SE Dominic Dillon 21/31 - Rookie Dillon is a vertical passing threat. He's currently losing to Butterfingers Carlos Snyder to fill that role for us, but his 71 Big Play Rec. and 22/81 Avoid Drops make him an intruiging guy for blowing the tops off of defenses. Another position where a later round pick makes my final decisions much, much easier. RG Earnest Berrino 36/36 - 3rd year guard with high intelligence (low penalties) with a high blocking strength may or may not make this squad. A 4th guard may be a luxury for us but a late round pick helps settle that. |
