I've been playing "The College Years" and FOF7 recently. I really miss the simple style of the versions before FOF8. I love to change first down from 59 to 53 and it changes the whole offense. Plus I feel FOF7 it's Jim's most complete version, better control of depth chart, more control over defense and less bugs then any version (Yes, FOF8 is full of bugs compared to 7). Like this bug from my last game; Start of first quarter. (1Q: 15:00) Trent Ponce kicked off 49 yards from the OMA35. Shannon Rudoff returned the ball 32 yards to the LAS48. Tackled by Eli Lacey. So we kicked off to our Runner Rudoff, yes that's my runner. My runner returned the ball for the other team...... And this Bug from the same game; 3-1-OMA44 (1Q: 03:56) Leonardo Deppe ran a trap outside the right tackle for 0 yards. Tackled by S Colin Ruddy. OFFENSE 113t Personnel, Strong formation DEFENSE True 34, Nickel Personnel, Cover-1 LDE K.Hoffman In Box +++ NT R.Planish In Box +++ RDE T.Bates In Box +++ SLB C.Dillon In Box +++ SILB C.Bartoszewicz In Box +++ WLB T.Brown In Box +++ LCB C.Kelley Out of Box +++ (This is my Starting WLB) RCB R.Washington Out of Box +++ (This is my Starting LCB) NB D.Kennedy Out of Box +++ (This is my Starting RCB) SS A.Quinn Out of Box +++ FS C.Ruddy Out of Box +++ These type of bugs are unacceptable to me and it makes me remember the FOF7 days where these things weren't an issue. Anyone else miss the FOF7 days sometimes? |

For sure...just on a time level I miss being able to really analyze and put in a plan in about 25 minutes as opposed to 90. |

I really hope Jim/Marcus streamline the offensive/Defensive gameplan for FOF9 and fix those bugs. |

The grid planning was so much more fun that what FoF8 uses imo. |
