At Santa Cruz (I wish!) thining we could a W this week.

We opened thingsup with some solid running and a big YAC play to get a FG. SC had their own YAC play but fumbled later, we continued to pound it well and grabbed another FG. SC had an impressive string of dinks and runnning gains despite our tackling but threw a pick in the endzone.

A punt for each side as we lost our backup C, we converted a few and grabbed another FG. A 50 yard YAC play for SC and this time they cashed in to reduce the lead to 2. Our runing gaem was slowed but then our QB ripped off a 63 yard scramble and then plunged in for the TD right after the 2 minute warning. Another pick for our D and a long pass to get us inside the 5 but penalties and pass rush kept us to a FG. A fumble from SC and we tacked on another FG for a 15 point halfitme advantage.

Obviosuly that is great but with these TOs and RZ possessions we should be up 20 at a minimum.

SC worked the intermediate game well and ongitme Sodbuster RB Reeves was running well but a 3rd down sack held them to 3. SC added another TD to get with 5 with more hype refficient play. SC go thteir stop and connected on some deep passes but had to punt it away.

Penalties and sacks pushed us backwards and a botched punt led to SC taking over at our 35 and popped another big YAC play but ouldn't convert the 2-pointer. A 2nd dropped deep pass from rookie WR Glover led to a fialed completion on 3rd down and SC almost had a 5th TO on the PR but recovered. More efficient play for SC but we finally tightened up and they hit a FG to go up 4 with 150 seconds left. A couple intermediate passes got us to midfield at the 2 minute warning but our deep ball to Wr Gloer was picked at the 1 yard line and returned 99 yards for ball game.

We this was a missed opportunity, we coudln't build an advantage early despite the TOs, gave up 7/11 on 3rd down and the O was shut down during the 2nd half.

Again, lots of good things happened for us here, that said we were taking advantage of a rookei QB who still was productive against us.

The pick is bad enough in this situation but to give up the TD is just a donkey punch, especially when you had missed opportunities early.

I feel your pain.

Your team has boatloads of talent, I'm not sure what you are doing incorrectly but maybe it is the lack of a true #1 WR, regardless good luck to you(except when you play us).

GG Teuts,

Well we had enough firepower to keep it interesting, but just couldn’t hang with you guys. Picton had a remarkable game but it wasn’t enough

Just remember, you can take the Outlaws out of Arizona but you can't take the Arizona out of the Outlaws.

It's hard to agree with you when the game even has LA as the highest valued roster.

I won a title with Devers in his 16th season I believe it was. Seattle didn't think he had anything left but he had plenty. Not sure if this is to motivate you to keep him or to help sell him to someone, but I'm just saying QB's can produce late even when the ratings number changes.

That being said, I guess there's those who never live up to that number either.

I'm nothing, if not vague.

GG KC Fan......

I was surprised to have slowed down your O but then I realized Patten got injured and that seemed to change things...... Of course Dunlap got injured too....Bad day for star players....

Perhaps my band of average players is better than we thought....

it was a good game but lost stars on both sides kind of sucks.
