At Texas, young QB and a balanced trio of receivers.

We didn't offer much resistance against them early as they marched down for 7 without needing a 3rd down. We were doing well ourselves but eventually had to settle for the long FG. Womble conitued to be sharp as he went up to 8/8 with the receivers adding plenty of YAC as they went up 10 after a missed XP. Our vet TE made a big play though as eh has done all season bringin us back to within 3 on a 65 yard catch and run. And we finally got stop as hybrid S-CB Brewer knocked up 2 passes to close out the 1st Q.

6 plays later including 5 runs and we are up 4 now. TE England had a couple nice gains for Texas but they settle for 3 this time so we keep a point advantage. We throw a pick near midfield into double coverage, and we are pushing them back but they get te failed completion on 3rd down to set up a 4th and 3 which they go for and convert and get their FG for the 2 point lead at the 2 minute mark.

Going into the half we see us dominating on the ground but with only 12 carries and beign boom or bust in the passing game. Texas has been incredibly efficient in the air and will be tough to beat if they can keep that up. We have only had 3 3rd downs so far and perhaps woul dbe best off jsut running all the dang time.

3 straight short passes to Crabtree but he barely converts on 3rd as Texas is tackling well. We overcoema sack but can't convert on 3rd and 2 in teh orange zone and opt for a 54 yard FG attempt which we convert to go up 1. We stop them after midfield but they pin us at our 3 and this is where we want that ground game to shine but instead we are stuffed twice setting up a dangerous 3rd and 12 from our 1. No trouble though as our intermediate passing game is still clicking and from there we run the Q out before throwing another pic at midfield setting Texas up at our 30 but they go backwards and end up booting it into the endzone.

We hit slot possession man Sheldon for 40 on PA but they bottle upped our ground game and we slice the FG attempt. Texas hits their own deep ball and then faces another 4th and 3 from teh orange zone getting another conversion and go up 7 with the 2 pointer a few plays later. And we fumble the KR setting them up in our RZ and suddenly we are down 14 with 6 minutes left. In 2 mminutes we get the 1st TD and I don't think we missed a pass during the hurry up down the field. Our run D does its part and while TEX booms a 60 yard punt we get it back just outside of 2 minutes with all of our TOs. 2 big plays form TE Mardling and we are it ehir RZ with plenty of time left: hurry, drop, hurry and hurry. That is ballgame.

Very nice game Texas. Womble was too sharp for us early and you guys were great int he RZ as well with those 2 key 4th down conversions. The 2 INTs also hurt us but really the ANY/A passing numbers were darn even but efficiency trumps what we were throwing out there. Our rushing game slowed down after a great start and congrats as you were the first team to hold Fulton under 100 in a good while.

GG KC,

This is such a different year. Our offense is a shell of it's self without Linker and Dole has crashed down to earth these last 3 games, Hopefully we can give you a game next time.

Good game KC.

GG Ushi. I always look forward to playing you because you do the best write-ups. I have to say I am pleased with Womble. It certainly took some lucky breaks for us to come out of this one with a W but we'll take it. I have limited expectations but the trio of veteran WRs, a solid TE and a stud LT certainly help with the development curve for a young QB and Womble is 60% developed so is a fairly decent QB for a rook.

Best of luck the rest of the season!

So much for thinking we might have turned the corner against LVS -- 4 ints and no running lanes this week.

gg Mac,

We finally got our 2nd win and it took another overtime to do it.

It's time to overhaul this playbook and try something else, this is getting brutal. I believe my game plan settings were over 50% runs and McKnight is still chucking the ball all over the place with a dismal completion percentage.

I feel the same way about my squad Turf...QB playing well below his ratings and our running game not being the beast it should be
