Interesting game at Santa Cruz, lotta YAC receivers for them which we have a done good of limiting so far and a scrambling QB led to us using Spy a godo bit for the first time in a long time. That said our O shoudl keep rolling against them.

They moved it well from their own 4 especially on the ground to get 7 as we helped with a few 1sts by penalty. A nice KR was wasted as we took the sack on 3rd and pinned them at their 5. We got hte pick in their end and tied thingsup a few plays later. We got our stop and a nice PR had starting at mifield again, our passing game heated up and we went up to close out the 1st Q.

A couple scrambles were bottled up by our Spy and we took over at our own 1. A few 10 yard runs and some nice PA passes got us into FG range, and we pounded it in but missed the XP on a bad hold from backup P for a 13 poitn advantage. Another stop for our D but again we were starting inside our 10, and our passing game continued ot pick up conversions as we went up 3 scores inside of 2 minutes. Now sitting at 16/17 wiht 1 sack for nearly 10 ypa in the air.

RB Fulto pretty much singlehandedly added 10 points for us int he 3rd as we went over 200 yards on the ground as Santa Cruz battled it out on O valiantly but couldn't add any more points. We threw our gamely pick to open the 4th but with a 30 point differential this game was pretty much over though their backup QB led them to 15 garbage time points.

Our loss against Death Valley / Peoria means that we are still 1.5 back form the bye but love what we have seen from our squad as of late. Should have the depth to finish this run and get a home PO game at this rate.

GG Smitty.....

A royal thumping....

I don't recall ever having a team play this poorly for this long. I thought I had some good pieces, so I must be putting some crappy GP's together.....

Good Luck the rest of the way...

Footnote..... Did you see the catches by Bart Godfrey? ;)

That's what you hope for when two 2-6 teams go against each other... 15 penalties, big plays on offense, a kick return td, back and forth scoring, all to come down to a last second game winning field goal with 3 seconds left. We are happy to just get a W and break up the L's. We've got to remember what we did and how we did it and roll it into next week.

At least we put on a show, GG Outlaws.

GG -- my backup QB now has better stats than Bailey...this is what my big bust of a QB did in BAL before he crashed and burned.
