Flu outbreak on my team the one week of the preseason I need to shuffle my roster around...hate how minor injuries make scrub players uncuttable in this game. It doesn't work that way in real life.

We got brutalized, rooks and vets, I will eat crow bigtime we kept drifting further and further away from the scouting bars on coaches and combines for the draft. We came away from the draft after having 2 1sts and multiple mid rounders as well with a good OLB, a decent outside CB and replacement players at best.

Our key talent held though so no excuses for this season but man are we behind the ball for the next few seasons when those cap hits come to roost.

Well, it's settled. I should have accepted the huge offer I got to drop into the late 1st and take Brock (37/70) instead of Agustoni (39/77). The other OLB Vegas took might be even better! Sheesh. And here I am about to trot out a 22/44 as one starter with a 0 run defense guy on the other side.

Brock is 37/69 in my scout's eyes, going a total of +8/+4 from initial impression to Judgement day.

Anagnostis is currently 47/72 with a +8/+11 jump, but that all changes if his conversion to RDE sticks, as the game is showing me 59/81 post-move, which would be a +20/+20 jump after position change from OLB to RDE.

I knew one of these guys could be the best DE prospect from this class, but I honestly thought it would be Brock.

This goes to show you have to take what you think is the best player available in the early rounds, even if it is the same position as another pick.

I didn't do that with my first pick this year and it bit me in the ass.

arghhh, we didn't blow it but I should have waited on the center in round one. :x

Not a bad haul this draft:

[*] got a center and a nickel back
[*] depth at DT, DE, FB, TE
[*] Starter bumps for last year's 2 project Free safeties
[*] 2nd year SLB Emerson may survive his nasty hip injury

-- sucked to cut last year's first round WR but turns out all 3 insurance picks after him are already better players.

I hope we play as good as we look on paper now :)

Love the look of my QB. Many GMs said to take Oneil. I like the look of Klingbel. My rookie OL guys had some nice jumps in ex2.

The only problem with your young starting QB jumping 6 points on Judgement Day is the new salary demands.

I was already going to franchise the kid next year due to his 5-year $265m renegotiation demands, but now I'm worried about re-signing him next year with his new 5-year $297m price tag before we even play a real game in 2056. Here's hoping he sucks this year.

I guesss this is a good problem to have?
