I'm ready for my first full season. Quick question, my play book only allows me to add a set number of plays "per week." Is that a game week, or a real week?

Ush, are you saying it is not so simple from a results/impact perspective or it is not so simple to actually do in-game?

I changed mine several times last year and it wasn't very hard.

Now, the end results is another story, as it didn't seem to fix any of the problems I attributed to the playbook.

When I tried to export, the game told me I didn't have enough run plays, so I have to add them. I can apparently o ly add so many per "week." However, I can have the coordinator whip up some extras too, so I think I'm good.

I mean unless you have save your new playbook, have JJ put it up for import and restore it afterwards then the edited play slots are not gonna carry over more than 1 week. There is a detailed list on the how to somewhere in our forum.

That said if you are just changing the same 12 plays or having a playbook with 188 and adding up to 12 each week then that isn't a problem.

Nope, my playbook seems to stay right around 100, so I think I'll have to complete the import action. Just need to know what I need to do.

A helpful tip regarding playbooks is to start a single player and import your mp playbook and leave it at that stage, this way you can edit your playbook whenever you want. I love watching football on sundays and thinking hmm that play design just destroyed a cover 2, let me rewind and work that in.

I'm not sure why you would need to do all that. I actually edited 8 plays last night before Pre-Season 2.

Go to Game Day | Planning | Playbook

Click on the play to edit and make your changes and click Confirm.

The play will now be in blue font in your playbook. You are only allowed 12 adds/edits per game week.

I've always had 200 plays so I don't know if clicking the Add Play button works just as easily, but I'm assuming it does if you don't already have 200. The 12 play weekly limit would still apply I believe.

After I edit my playbook, I save it with a new name in case one version turns out to be better and I want to go back to it the following season. I just use the year and week for a naming convention (i.e. 2056Wk1).

I believe that those 8 plays will only last one week. And now your playbook that you see won't be the same as the one the Sim is using might want to test that in PS4

That's what's been happening to my team. I come up with 12 plays and add them to the list. Next day, I'm back at 100 plays.

The Add plays feature is kinda of broken.

There is a way around it though.

The week after you've added your plays, you need to ask me to restore your playbook.

After you've restored your playbook, the plays will be in there.

I'll do this for you guys but please use discretion. I don't want to be restoring playbook everyweek for the whole season but I'll do it every once in awhile.

Do we really need to add a rule for this?

JJ has already asked for owner discretion and a rule should only be needed if it is abused or people cannot follow his simple request.
