At 0-3 we need a W and have tough guy TT and LVS up next. Gotta avoid INTs and not botch doubling Conley.

Both teams can't run and not much is going on on offeense. Then we throw our typical 1st half INT and Conley beats double coverage to get them inside the 10 and they go up 7. We hit a deep shot downfield to Spradling but still can't run and are checking down on 3rd and long. We go for the 4th and 5 and throw a 4 yard completion.

We put McKnight under fire and he stalls out at midfield, we get the run game going but punt ourselves on top of field position battle. We get a pick of our own and are set up in FG range and settle for just 3. Neither team can do much in the final 5 minutes and we head into the half.

LVS took advantage of the INT but otherwise are averaging just 3.2 ypp but we are only at 5.3 so those 7 points are enough for now. The teams are a combined 1/12 on 3rd, something has to give.

Another INT from us and another gutsy series for LVS to go up 11. We are still going backwards on O and LVS is quickly up 18. This is getting ugly but we get a TD to keep things at 11 with 20 minutes left needing another 4th down effort to get in. LVS is getting chunks but we hodl on 3rd and short and they get the FG to go up 15 however we take the KR 98 yards to keep it one score game early in the 4th.

And LVS has a nice return of their own but fumble it away at the end, our run game is too boom and bust though and we are getting a lot of pressure when dropping back so can just cut the lead to 5 points. LVS' secondary receivers keep dropping their shots and they have to punt it away. We finally get the ball to TE Mardling on his first two targets of the day and get our TD to go up 1 and TE Mardling gets the 2 pointer as well. 3andO from LVS and inside of 4 minutes we are looking ot ice this game on the ground and get one first but LVS still takes over after the touchboack with plenty left. But we pick McKnight to Conley into double coverage and that is ballgame.

Man, great game TT although I should say that at halftime I wanted to throw my laptop off the balcony and you might feel that way now.

I really suck at gameplanning, we throw so many goddang INTs and even my running game and 3rd down conversions percentages off this year.

Fortunately I think we are starting to figure out this year's defense and we held LVS to 1/9 on 3rd to give us so many chances at the comeback.

gg Ush.

The drops are killing us this year and even though Conley is still producing at his age, he is leading the team and almost the league with 6 already this year.

This felt like a bad beat but the stats say otherwise. We were able to keep your running game in check for much of the game but I think our defense just wore down.

I feel we are much better than a 3-2 team at this point and just have to keep plugging away to prove it. If my rookie WR didn't get destroyed with the ACL or we landed either of the 2 FA WR's we tried to get, we might e 4-1 or even 5-0 at this point. We have 13 drops through 5 games with 10 of them from our top 2 receivers (Conley, Kindley).

Good luck the rest of the way!

Good Game Oregon

I'd talk about our team but we're basically the same team we've been for 3 years with a better run game and slowly detreating defense.

Honestly Oregon is usually number 3 in the division while I sit there scared of Alaska (Alaska is on a w3 streak so I wont hold by breath) but I'm pretty scared of Oregon this year. We played a great game, but some of it I feel Oregon played better if it weren't for penalties. It's a team not as much built by studs but efficient guys who do the job. I feel awful we hurt their QB as a Notre Dame fan, but even the backup was able to move down the field. Once Fraaije is all healed up, I wouldn't bat an eye if this team surprises down the road and throws some top teams, Boise included, off the top. Good game and good luck Oregon

GG Redstorm

You guys continue to run like a well oiled machine, thanks for the kind words, I think we could be a team that can compete if we can add a piece here or there. We play in a very fun, challenging division.

In regards to Sunday, this was a great game to watch with an explosive first half on both sides. I thought we could have got a little more done in the run game in order to keep your offense off the field. Biggest play of the game to me was us throwing the pick in the endzone, right after we recovered a fumble on a kick return. That play could have really set the tone for us going forward, props to your defense though, that play kept me up all night! We also had a TD called back for illegal shift on our QB, you don't see that often..

All in all it came down to us not getting it done on 3rd down (3/13) and red zone td's. We each had 5 trips but you guys were able to capitalize with 3 td's to our 2. Your 2 minute offense before the half ran like it was playing 7 on 7, we didn't have a chance to make a play.

GG and good luck rest of the year.

GG Flex....

Another nail biter for Militia fans..... Still a bit upset at the "bad snap" resulting in a FG miss when the game was hanging in the balance...but the defense bailed us out again. Not sure if Iowa City was anticipating a huge passing game from us, but their D left the running lanes wide open and we had a day on the ground......

Up next ....."Here Kitty Kitty......"

And Tuscon gets their first Win! Awesome play of defense opening an opportunity that the offense took, scoring quickly. GG Denver, I notice you still get the MVP award for the game though.
