SNOW GAME! Hosting SAO who looks plain old stacked. One thing to watch otu for is TOs we lead the league in giveaways as well as takeaways and they are 2nd in takeaways and very godo at avoiding TOs.

SAO in diknign along and we stuff them on 3rd and 1 but a defensive penalty gives them life and they break a run for the TD from 30 yards out. A big TFL on 1st leads to a failed completion on 3rd for us and we offer little resistance as they go up 14. OUr running game gets us downfield and we hit Spradling over double coverage for our TD. Our D finally gets a stop and our efficiency continues as we pound it in to tie things up with a 7 minute drive.

QB England gets to 11/12 and RB Lovallo adds another 30 yard run for SAO before our rush finally slows them down in the RZ and they get 3 points. A strip sack givs them the ball back but our D holds them to another FG. Another failed completion on 3rd gives SAo good field position for the 2 minute drill but we ramp up the pressure and knock them backwards setting up our own chance before the half. 2 consecutive drops by Spradling means we have to settle for 3 though.

Good to see our D settle in, they were at 10 ypp for a godo while there and are still close to 8 but our pass rush looks ready to be a menace throughout the 2nd half.

We plod our way to another FG to tie things up.
SAO hit the left edge a couple tiems and has a big YAC play on 3rd and long to set them up in our RZ and SAO misses the gimme FG in the snow. We continue our groudn attack but get derails by a holding call and pin them at their 5. They go for a PA dragon on 3rd and 1 but can't bring it in but we bail them out being offsides on the punt so they manage to flip the field early in the 4th as we remain tied up.

Another failed completion for us on 3rd after a coupel conversions on the ground. and England hits the TE on 3rd and long way downfield and he gets away for a TD. A couple big plays gets us to their 30 wiht 5 minute left but we settle down and have to kick a FG giving SAo a chance to ice the game just outside of 4 minutes up 4. We get it back at our 26 just outisde of 2 minuets with no TOs. 2 big Crabtree gains later we are at their 8 and he hurt former CB Greensblade with a nasty stiff arm. Scrmable ot the 3, two incomplete screen passes (huh?) but a personal means we are 1st and goal at their 2 with 12 seconds left. But another very questionable screen call gets stopped behind the LOS to end things.

Really don't like how that one ended down the stretch but nothing wrong with losing to SAO. We normally take all screen options even secondary targets out of our Hurry Up but looks like we didn't do so this time and that little detail may have cost us the game.

GG Spadaro. Very even game here by most metrics and even the distribution, Just the 1 TO surprisingly. Both teams ran for nearly 6 ypc. SAO got 7 YAC per catch while we were at a little over 1 as hey worked the short game and we did pretty good in the intermediate game. OLB Alexander had another monster game with 2 sacks, 3 hurries, 4 hurries and our 3 drops seemed to hurt us a good bit.

We remain all knotted up with MIA in the division so onto next week and Death Vallery who are in there own tough division battle.

Kinda of wild game, it had a safety and some crazy catches. I thought after that late fumble, we had a shot at winning but your Dline just dominated those last plays. Fuck Double Covering Conley, it didn't work at all.

QB Graham has elbow bursitis so we decided to sit him for a week. Backup Hughes played about what his talent suggests with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. The running game was held in check by Oregon (100 yards total) but a couple big plays in the passing game (59 and 75 yard touchdowns) were just enough.

On defense, we had trouble all day stopping the Bandits running game as they ran for 202 yards. Four interceptions was a huge momentum killer for Oregon and a boost for Atlantic City.

With Graham probable for 2 more weeks, the question is does he play versus San Antonio or rest one more week with an eye to the playoffs?

5 Turnovers isn't going to beat a 9-2 football team. We got 2 back but still, -3 in turnovers just ain't gonna do it. I'd like to think most games my QB isn't good for 4 ints, but credit to the Atlantic City defense. They shut the passing game down with pressure and excellent coverage.

Two positives for Oregon is that our run game continues to do well, even against a great rush defense. And our run defense is finally starting to show up. Atlantic City is an outstanding running team and we held them to 100 yards on 29 carries.

Yes, definitely a crazy game. I can't believe we got called for holding in the end zone.

This game was a little chippy with 3 big penalties in a row on your 2nd quarter scoring drive:

We had a few others during the game, which is fairly uncharacteristic of this team.

I still hold firm that a strong d-line trumps a strong o-line in FOF8, as seen by the ROI from my front seven and the 100-yard rusher (over 5ypc) behind a mediocre mess of mangoo I have for an o-line that has the combined endurance to run 82 total yards during conditioning drills in practice.

As far as double-teaming Conley, I believe the saying is that if you have two, you have one and if you have one, you have none. If you invest 2 defenders into covering Conley, it's no different than him being single covered and frees up one of our other assets. It sure would be nice to see what FL Camden Vanags could have done opposite Conley this year. Only 29 weeks left on his career-ending knee injury.

The game started out nice for us with an opening drive TD and then Perry getting a pick 6. But right after that Kaczor threw a pick 6 and seemed like we couldn't recover. The two punt return TDs really put you ahead comfortably.

I was surprised that our rookie QB, Hughes didn't get in the game later.

At least Fargo lost so we are still even. Our division may come down to the Week 17 matchup.

RG Karl White had a awesome game a number of key blocks.
My defense played well but Kirk Ruoff had an incredible day two punt returns for TD's of 87 and 92 Yards.

The Deep South is a Dog Fight right now all 4 teams over .500
