If I release a player I put on IR, does he become eligible to play again this year? Kind of a messed up situation with my formerly depressed QB...... I put him on the IR too soon and he got healthy unexpectedly...... The good news is I can cut him now Could I trade him? Could he play for a new team? |

Glad he beat his demons. I'm pretty sure you can release players from IR, although you might have to pay out an injury settlement (not sure if that only happens when you cut an active but injured player). In the event of a release, he would be eligible to play for a new team (I think even technically yours, but would obviously refuse). Don't think you can trade him from IR but I don't know for sure on that one. |

You can't always cut them, I think only in last contract year but not sure You can also use the IR exception which brings a guy back from IR, but you have just one sim to do it, think it is 8 weeks after going on IR and can only do so once per season per team |

He had a "injury" that had no timetable, so I assumed it was going to be a long time, and I couldn't cut him while he was injured (Severe Depression) two years left on contract.....So I put him on the IR..... Two weeks later he's fine. So I can cut him... Just wondering if I could trade him..... again...he's not injured....just on IR. Is the IR exception in this game? I didn't know that. |
