A Lowdown of the newest additions to the Hawaiian Blue Pacific. Long gone are the days of Tu, Burke, O'Neal, Murgiua, Dover, Beech, and Abeya. The Blue Pacific saw their reign over the Ring of Fire come to an end by the sudden departure of GM/Owner MrBug708. The tenure that followed saw a team head towards the path or a Running Game, one which the natives disliked as much as the team name. Fan Favorite, Ronnie Tu, was benched for an outsider and wins started decreasing. Much like that of famed Cleveland Indians owner, Roger Dorn, MrBug708 swoops back in to rescue the first franchise of the CFL. By that time, the damage has been done. The mode has been set to rebuild. Questions linger on to what the future may bring the Blue Pacific. Tuscon has become the power in the ROF, Arizona is still bad, and Las Vegas is doing it's part of a straight cross dresser; no one knows what the hell is going on.

That leaves us to the new breed of talent heading West; far far West.

[player]Derek Schulz[/player] is drafted 12th overall, out of Florida State. The 6th year Senior Seminole joins Hawaii with high expectations. He was a 2nd team AA safety his senior year and led the ACC DB's in tackles with 89. He should move into a starting spot right out of training camp

[player]Mike Strong[/player] was drafted 19th overall out of Ouachita Baptist College. Where? He was a bit of a surprise going where he did, most thought he would fall to early second round, but Hawaii needs a dependable tackle to pair next to [player]Eric Shannon[/player] for the next 13 years.

[player]Rico Hodson[/player] was considered a steal by many observers of the cfl draft. The 5th year man out of Missouri comes to a Hawaii team that needs some offensive spark on the team that has no matches on the offensive side of the team.

[player]Andy Wright[/player] comes from football powerhouse Michigan where he was Second Team All-Big 10 as a senior. He is expected to give some help to the run defense from one of the End positions

[player]K.C. Butler[/player] comes to a Hawaiian team that wasn't expected to draft a QB. Nonetheless, when MrBug708 so that he could grab the talented kid from Kansas, he couldn't pass up the shot. Butler will battle another young QB, William Ives, for the starting QB position.

[player]Andrew Porter[/player] comes from Arkansas State and is Hawaii's third third round pick. He comes in after being an first team all conference selection for the Chiefs high powered shotgun offense. He'll have to learn to help block for the run as well if he wants to succeed at this level

[img6e88dfe]http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/m ... eyoung.jpg[/img6e88dfe]

[player]Kent Herndon[/player] is Hawaii's fourth round selection and many insiders around the league expect him to be named the starting RB after training camp. He played mostly fullback at Ohio State, but he should be able to man the RB position fairly well.

[img6e88dfe]http://media.ohio.com/images/OSU_YTown+2.jpg[/img6e88dfe]

[player]James Ogeary[/player] would not start for most of the CFL teams, but no CFL team is hurting for LB talent like the Waves are. He hails from Clemson where he was thought to have the physical tools but was lacking mentally. He'll be expected to player major minutes for Hawaii

[img6e88dfe]http://media.scout.com/Media/College_Fo ... 20-164.JPG[/img6e88dfe]

[player]Jerry Bitkowski[/player] comes from Louisiana-Monroe and is also expected to play a big part on the defensive line.

[player]Michael McCargo[/player] is a MLB from LSU who is expected be to a depth player for Hawaii.

[player]Bryan Cole[/player] was a college teammate of Butler at Kansas and hauled in a decent 700 receiving yards. But that isn't where Cole is being brought in to do his damage. Cole led the nation in KR yardage per attempt (32.1) as well as 3 TD's on special teams

Single best Bug quote...ever!

Can I use this one? It is timely, funny, and accurate. I give it a 9.95.
