There was a very weird snafu during stage 6 that resulted in Rico Fitzpatrick signing a new contract with Brooklyn and simultaneously *renegotiating* that contract with the same terms. This resulted in him having double the bonus money, and obviously shouldn't have been possible. This hits BKN pretty hard in their very sensitive salary cap nether regions, so we're going to fix the problem this way:

1) I will void Fitzpatrick's contract at the conclusion of FA1.
2) During FA2-1, Dean Gullberry will make the exact same offer to Fitzpatrick that he agreed to in FA1.
3) Throughout FA2, nobody else will be permitted to make an offer on Fitzpatick. If someone does so by accident, their file will be dropped from the sim.

Baffling how this situation came to pass, I know, but we should be able to take care of the problem. Thanks for your help and patience everyone!

This is nto the first occurrence. I believe I experienced this with a much cheaper guy many seasons ago. I don't think we ever found the root cause. He showed up as signed and renegotiated in the same stage.
