I'm posting this in a new thread just in case some owners didn't see the schedule in the sticky thread...

GE, have we reached an agreement about what time the draft will start tomorrow night?

Also, I think we might want to set a limit as to how many picks will be done. Perhaps the farthest we will go tomorrow night is the end of the 2nd round. So everyone who can't make the chat just needs to submit a list long enough to take them through the 2nd round. Does that sound reasonable?

Very reasonable. Let's say 8 PM CST? I am working on a live draft tool, but I don't think it will be ready till the next draft.

Have you tried the FOF Extractor with its Draft Analyzer program? It looks like it would be perfect for all owners to use.

Excellent thought on the limit... end of the 2nd seems reasonable for the first day to me.. with the 9pm est start, I may be able to make my first pick at least...

what is the time limit going to be on picks?

We'res doing a live draft already, before we've even started a timer? I think it's a mistake to do, especially when we're this early in the first round. Let FA go a little more.

I think if we start going live this soon, as people are going to miss out on the chance with their first round picks.

EDIT: From what I've seen, the CPU makes some very questionable selections early in the draft, and people will likely be disappointed if they can't make it.

I agree, FWIW.

Most of the active owners know about the draft and will be able to make it. The rest of the active owners should get ina list or a preference draft.

Last year the draft took a ton of time. It really delayed the league. I am trying to find a more effiecent way of doing things. Next year, I think I will have a draftiing tool done to make it alot eaiser.

Maybe if we just go first round? That way everyone should be able to get in a well rounded list?

The first round isn't when we should start rushing through things. Theres no need to go through it in one night. Rushing through it will cut down on teams chances to move up in the first round.

If it's so important to get through why haven't we started the clock yet?

I want a method that is fair to everyone. I want the off-season to move along at a good pace. The first round is important to several owners. I know and realize that. I am going to sleep on this one and make a decision in the morning, but as of now I am favoring pushing the live draft chats back. However, with Labor Day weekend coming up, I suspect everyone will be busy (myself included).

Regardless of the live draft situation, we should definitely start the clock for draft picks.

I have made up my mind to delay the live draft until further notice. I think it would be a blast if all owners were accounted for, but that is not the case.
