Hosting a reborn Los Angeles squad. I think our O should do alright but with those 2 dangerous CBs they have things could be difficult. If our D can keep tackling well on the short stuff this should be a W.

We knock em back with 2 TFLs. Crabtree helps us overcome a sack and we need just one conversion en route to 6. Bailey comes up short on a 3rd down scramble and Holzer gets us across midfield but we stall our at the 40. More TFLs on pass plays from our D but we come up short on 3rd and 2 with a familiar already on just our 2nd 230 playcall.

Bailey gets the scramble to work this time on 3rd to close out the 1st and they get a couple YAC chunks on short stuff and tie things up. Holzer is still running strong and we finally get a completion via screen to Fence for a chunk but get stuffed up inside the 5 and opt to kick from the 1. LAS recovers the fumbled KR and can't do anythign with another failed completion on 3rd. We battle oru way down to FG range at the 2M mark and new TE ayes adds to hsi day with a YAC TD. Bailey hits some dinks in the hurry up but throws a pick once reaching midfield.

So far so good, just gotta play fundamental football from here on out.

Crabtree gets another nice chunk for us and Fence grabs 3 in a row to move us into FG range and we tack on 3 more on a 7 minute drive. Bailey can't connect downfield and goes 3andO, we draw consecutive holding calls to end our threat but we keep tacklign on the short stuff and Bailey must be getting frustrated. We start deep in our rend and while the running has dried up Mitchem is finding guys open in the 5-10 range mostly but once more get stuffed on 3rd and short and opt to punt from their 39 facing a 4th and 4.

LAS starts at their 4 and grinds their way out to midfield but RB Johnson converts a 3rd only to fumble and we scoop it up for a return TD pretty much sealing things with under 9 minutes left. There's a flurry of 6 minor penalties on both teams and Bailey hits some stuff downfield including on 4th and getting the TD but the clock si already down to just over 4 minutes.

As is typical our run game peetered out in teh 2nd half but was critical in helping us build a lead and the star of the game was once more our pass D holding Bailey under 5 ypa. We may have to reexamine our approach on 3rd and short as the running isn't getting it done anymore.

Nothing too compelling in the box score, we outdid them 5-2 on YAC per catch. And most of our passing success was against campbell as the other receivers were highly efficient. omehow Cary Barber had 14 tackles and 3 assists.

Our pass rush was nonexistent (somewhat by design) and LAS dropped 5 balls on 46 attempts.

2 divisional games up next and then some bottom feeders before getting another shot at ELP.

GGs hbcook86, solid three quarters.

Short stop in Ohio before we drive a stake through the heart of the Deep South...

GG FlexD,
Morton decided to have himself a day as did our OLine. Best running day we've had in a long time.

GG King Kosar

Well we got back on track after a disappointing loss last week. On to San Antonio in an early big game for both teams.

GG, Aamalin.

It's been a rough season for the Militia, for sure. We did what we needed to do to get the win at home in this one. We were able to exert our ground game against you guys and the other key piece of our strategy is to keep Porto in check. Porto managed 337 in passing yards but only 1 TD and 8 rushing yards.

See you again later this season.

GG Steel,

Happy to see Ortiz's injury was only a game injury, the Bulldogs have already had their fair share of injuries. Also happy that Staat did not beat us at home. Although Brooklyn is still looking for our first home victory.

Good luck this year,
Dean

GG Landshark.

We got lucky on this one with Rocketman going down and not returning. At least it's not a real serious injury.

Good luck until week 15.

GG RH….

We can’t seem to get it together this year.

Looks like it’s going to be a good battle for the Deep South crown…….just without us in the mix this year…
