Great topic! Here is my analysis of my own picks:
[b3786e0c]1 ( 16 ) DE Mitchell Vazquez[/b3786e0c] I gave up my 6th round pick to move up two spots to pick Vazquez. I thought it was worth it as I feared he wouldn't last until #18, and I had him rated significantly higher than anyone else left on the board. I feel good about this pick as I really needed a pass rusher at the DE position.
[b3786e0c]2 ( 50 ) LB Clifton Gideon[/b3786e0c] I was hoping to pick a CB in this round, as the four CBs on my roster are 34, 31, 36, and 35 years old. I tried (unsuccessfully) to trade up to get CB Jack Jeffries after which he was picked at #47 by Boston. Then I was hoping CB Steven Smalley would fall to me but he was picked at #49 by Tuscon. I didn't feel that any of the remaining CBs were worthy of getting picked at this position, so I decided to go with LB Gideon from Florida State. I feel he has a lot of upside, and almost makes up for losing LB Lee Luciano to Tampa Bay in free agency. Overall, I was a little disappointed by this pick.
[b3786e0c]3 ( 82 ) QB Kenneth Lester[/b3786e0c] I was still hoping for a CB here, but my guy Sedrick Boyd went two picks ahead of mine at #80 (Albany Engineers). Once again, I didn't feel that any remaining CBs were worthy of a pick here, so I decided to go with a different position again. I was happy to get a QB in this draft, as my starter Pittbull Pitts is 36 and my backup mentor is 34. Lester will get a year or two to learn the system before he will be asked to compete for the starting job. I'm hoping that he has the intangibles to be a quality starter in the future. Overall, I feel okay about this pick.
[b3786e0c]4 ( 114 ) RB Jerry Ackerman[/b3786e0c] Wouldn't you know it, Albany picked my CB (Bernie Callis) two picks ahead of mine for the second round in a row!

I was starting to see a pattern here...the CBs were going quickly as they are a need for most teams. I felt like RB Ackerman from Nebraska was the best player on the board at this point. He will compete with returning starter and 1000-yard rusher Dudley Given, as well as free agent pickup from Santa Cruz James Vanwinkle. I will probably use a running back by committee approach this season since none of these three seem to stand out. Overall, I was a little disappointed with this pick.
So overall I only give myself a [b3786e0c]C-[/b3786e0c]. I really needed to get a CB and failed to do so. But this is the sort of thing that makes multi-player great and more enjoyable than single-player!
