The Texas Inferno will be looking toward improving their team in this week's CFL Draft with smart and efficient draft picks.

The CFL's San Andreas division will become better this offseason, and the Inferno have been trying to improve their squad and move up the standings in their tough division and conference.

And GM B-Jay greatly improved this teams defense with a 3 team trade involving the Charleston Monitors and Denver Dynomite. Firstly All-Star Defensive End Dustin Cineux went to Charleston in return for 2 draft picks in this years 1st round before one of the Inferno's five 1st round picks and the Inferno's first 3 picks in next years draft went to Denver in exchange for C Heath Wooden, RDE Darren Fairchild, SLB Jim McCormick and S Rod Kelsay.

Offensively, if the Inferno can stay healthy they look in reasonably good shape with Luther Wylder at QB, TE Alan Lucas and WR Rusty Moore although there is a question mark as to who will start at RB after T.J. Ibarra's and Jake Yates' mediocre seasons.

New Defensive Co-ordinator J.T. Shermann will have a special coaching influence over the Texas zone style secondary and will be delighted with todays acquisitions. There's good and there's bad to the Inferno defence, but after todays moves there is a lot more good than bad.

GM B-JAY and HC Christian DeFelice guided by new Head Scout Donny Fitzgerald will be on the clock this week with the 17th overall pick of the 2019 CFL Draft after the Dustin Cineux trade. The Inferno have 3 more selections in the 1st Round (1.26, 1.30 and 1.32) and their fans will be on the edge of their seats as the first round progresses.

This is a franchise on the move and all the signs are positive that they are moving in the right direction.

[quoteedaef2b="b-jay"]Firstly All-Star Defensive End Dustin Cineux went to Charleston [bedaef2b]in return for 2 draft picks in this years 1st round before one of those picks[/bedaef2b] and the Inferno's first 3 picks in next years draft went to Denver in exchange for C Heath Wooden, RDE Darren Fairchild, SLB Jim McCormick and S Rod Kelsay.[/quoteedaef2b]

But you got the 1.17 and 1.26 in the Charleston trade, and neither of those picks went to Denver. Was Denver supposed to get the 1.17 instead of the 1.18?

Well, as I've always said, a B-Jay is the best first step in resolving an issue. Good luck to Texas. ;)
